ST KEVIN’S PARISH RENEWAL PROGRAMME

Dear Parents, 

Our Parish Renewal Programme invites all parishioners to reflect on what it means to be a member of our St Kevin’s Parish community.  We ARE the Church in our area and we will consider the key themes of FAITH and COMMUNITY and how we will work together to secure our FUTURE.

This week is all about our PARISH and our FAITH. 

You are invited to reflect on the importance of faith in your life.  Is your faith the foundation of who you are?  Does it drive the way you choose to live your life? 

You are also invited to re-affirm the importance of Sunday Mass – how we come together as a community to celebrate our faith.  The Eucharist is something much bigger than ourselves – it is not a private or anonymous experience. The communal celebration of the Eucharist on Sundays gives us the spiritual nourishment to live our lives as true disciples of Jesus. 

Finally, you are invited to commit to growing in faith – to take the opportunity to learn and develop a mature understanding of our faith. 

The Leadership Team for the Renewal Programme and I, encourage you to be involved in the Programme as it unfolds over the next few weeks – read the materials, listen to our speakers, reflect on the themes and discuss them with family, friends and fellow parishioners.

The parish website and Facebook Page will be updated as the programme progresses -so please visit regularly! 

With this message, we give you an invitation to attend our Parish Information Meeting on Tuesday 31 May at 7.30pm in the Hall at St Kevin’s, when we will look at our achievements as a Parish and our plans for the future. There will also be opportunity for questions and we will finish with a cuppa. So please come along and be part of it!

Let’s make this Programme a wonderful time of personal and community renewal for our parish!
