Foley House News

Although the poor weather has interrupted many activities, it’s still been an actioned packed Term 2!

Earlier the Foley Theatre Sports team had the audience in raptures with their spontaneous wit. Unfortunately, it seems a technicality somehow impacted and it meant that the better team didn’t proceed to the next round. Disappointed as they were, the boys showed good character in defeat.

The Year 7s spent the last three days of Week 5 on an alternative program of personal development and relationship building. Day 1 saw the boys climbing through various obstacles and riding zip lines at the Big Pineapple Adventure Park. Day 2 was at the school where the boys engaged in relationship building through a program run by the company, Unleashing Personal Potential. Day 3 had us at River Life on Kangaroo Point. rock climbing, abseiling and kayaking kept the boys challenged, and active fun day by the Brisbane River. Thanks to our Year 10 leaders who assisted over those three days.

Our Year 11 students having just completed Unit 1 of their ATAR begin work on Unit 2 last week.

Events to come: Walkathon Sunday 5 June, Champagnat Day  Mass and activities Monday 6 June and Athletics Carnival Friday 17 June, compulsory days for the boys to attend.
