Newsletter Publications Term 3

This term we will be streamlining our newsletter publications. Feedback from the community is the current publishing arrangements are a little confusing. So in light of this feedback we will be publishing a newsletter weekly under the one banner Newlands Times. 

It's our intention to to include some pages as standard weekly pages such as the calendar, office information, etc. We will continue providing news from the classrooms and Specialist programmes fortnightly as we have for a number years. We hope this new communication arrangements for term 3 onwards will reduce community confusion. 

Works update

We are coming to the end of the entry ramps upgrade and they will be ready use by term 3. Each of the doorways also include automatic doors - which will provide hours of fun for the little kiddies I'm sure. The next stage is the installation of the sensory play area near the Foundation area. This will be ready for the children in term three. 

Drop off, Pickup for F/1 parents

The current area where parents have been dropping off and picking up will be unavailable as of Monday. The area will be have temporary fencing around it so works can go ahead safely.

We will use the basketball court for the last week of term as the drop off , pick up point. Teachers will be on the court to collect children. The teachers will bring the children to the court at the designated time at the end of the day. 

Being on time

As we continue the current drop off and pick up arrangements due to the Covid, we must insist that students be at school on time at the designated for your child's year level. We cannot accept children and adults entering the building at various times. Thank you for your cooperation.

Message from the Office

Office staff can only notify students of a change in after school pick up arrangements if this is done before 2:00 p.m. or after that time in the case of an emergency.

Lost property can only be returned to your child if it is clearly labelled with their name so that we can give it back to them if found. Please ensure that all articles of clothing/water bottles bought to school have your child's name on them. This includes coats and hats.
