Updating our Website

As part of Killara High School's 50th Anniversary of being on our school site, many aspects of the school's history is being made available on our website. This is a work in progress, so please recheck regularly as many new items are being added every week.

So far, the following areas are the focus for uploading:

• The beginnings of Killara High School
• The building history 
• The decades - a chronology of events, activities etc.

The following areas are under 'The School Community' component of the webpage:

Indigenous connections - a history of KHS's involvement with Indigenous issues, events etc.

Jindabyne - a history of this annual excursion

KHS 'Firsts' - e.g. the first time KHS commenced something new

I am also looking for any ex-students who will provide permission to publish their artworks, prose, poems or pictures that were in The Green Years or copies of the KHS news/newsletters during their time at Killara High School. There is such a wonderful array of items that I would love to see 'grace' the website pages.

The School Archives is also being maintained in the Lion Library, with copies of The Green Years also kept for every year since its inception in 1971, as well as photographs, documents and realia from 1968 - onwards.
