Congratulations to the Violin Ensemble, Chase (4AP) and Blake (6CF) on their musical performances at our last assembly. It is always to start the morning with music and we were treated to some exceptional performances! Well done!
Senior Production
COSTUMING
As many of you are aware, 2019 is a Senior School Production year. We are well and truly into the swing of things with our students beginning preparation for our upcoming auditions. Every students in Grade 5/6 will be involved in our production and will require a costume.
All Grade 5/6 Parents received an email from us on Friday 22 February about providing initial measurements for their child. If you have not yet filled in the Google Form (link provided in email), please click on the link below and complete the form:

CAST/DANCE AUDITIONS & CREW EOI
All Grade 5/6 Parents will receive an email today (Friday 1 March) regarding auditions for Cast and Dance Ensemble, as well expressions of interest for our Crew. We ask that you read the information provided to you in that email regarding requirements and the selection process carefully and discuss it with your child. All applications for auditions and expressions of interest need to be submitted by 5PM on FRIDAY 8 MARCH.
Ensembles Program in 2019
Just a reminder if you are interested in joining either Junior Choir or Senior Choir, please scan the relevant QR codes displayed on the Performing Arts Notice board. Please read the forms carefully as some ensembles have requirements. Please note that Boys Vocal Group, Girls Vocal Group and African Drumming are select entry ensembles, and members for this have already been selected.
The rehearsal schedule for each ensemble had changed this year and is as follows:
Boys Vocal Group ................. Monday 8:20am-8:50am
African Drumming Group .........Tuesday 8:15am-8:50am
Junior Choir ......................... Wednesday 8:20am-8:50am
Senior Choir ............................ Thursday 8:00am-8:50am
Girls Vocal Group ................... Thursday 1:00am-1:50pm

Foundation - Musical Elements Pitch (High and Low sounds) and Dynamics (Loud and Soft)
Grade 1/2 - Musical Elements - Dynamics using musical terminology and the Form of music
Grade 3/4 - Identifying notes on the staff and playing them on the recorder
Grade 5/6 - How to develop a character using Expressive Skills
WANTED!
Our costume team is looking for anyone within the school community who is or has connections to wholesalers in order to update our ensemble uniforms. If you know of anyone who can assist us, please contact Miss Poor via email.
Senior School Production 2019
We have had a great number of parents who have said they are interested in painting, sewing, sourcing props or generally creating, but are still need of some keen people to put their hand up for set construction. If you are interested, can you please complete the google form using the link (if the link does not work when you click on it, please copy and paste it into your web browser). We would love to have you on our 2019 production team!
