Cooling off in the lake during the Year 7 Encounter Camp, December 2019.
Year 7 students celebrated the end of year with their student led and run camp at Manjedal Activity Centre, Karrakup. Students should be commended for their resilience, organisational skills and positive attitude despite the extremely hot conditions. In true John Wollaston fashion they demonstrated their caring nature in looking after themselves and each other.
Students stepped up and took responsibility for themselves and their peers, cooking their own meals and ensuring they all stayed hydrated. Every one had a brilliant time and relished the opportunity to take a dip in the swimming hole to keep cool. Well done Year 7s!
The Year 7s would like to thank everyone who contributed to the 12 Days of Christmas Giving initiative. We have been inundated with items including pasta, cereal, tinned food, snacks, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and toiletries. The items will be donated to the Salvation Army for distribution to those in need. Thank you for generous support!
