These students are to be at the rehearsals and the events for the day. We would like to invite all parents to attend both events as students will be individually called on stage. Please see the dates below to add to your diaries. We will send more details regarding these events closer to the day.

STEM Fair

On Tuesday 26 October, our Year 4 to 6 students will be joining the Secondary students for the Clayfield College STEM Fair. Primary students will investigate the chemistry behind ice cream, explore virtual reality, experience the kinetic energy on a harness jump, and analyze animals and how they have adapted to change.

National Bandana Day

On Thursday 28 October, Clayfield College will be supporting National Bandana Day. On this day, we will be fundraising to raise awareness for Canteen. Canteen runs programs, camps and recreation days that give young people space away from the daily pressures of living with cancer and the opportunity to meet others who truly understand what they’re going through. If you would like to support this initiative, bandanas are available for purchase from Main Reception for $5.00. In addition, students are welcome to wear their bandanas at school on Thursday.

Student Achievements

Congratulations to Emma Hicks (Year 6), who was in the representative team for Brisbane Netball Association competing at the State Age Netball Championships on the Sunshine Coast during the September school holidays.

Emma was awarded the Most Valuable Player for her team, and she has been re-selected in the talent identification program with the 13A’s for the upcoming Summer season.

Well done, Emma! Your hard work and dedication have produced outstanding results.
