Good Luck To The Year 12 Students

Starting tomorrow, our Year 12 students will begin their final examinations. Over the last two years, I have been incredibly impressed by their resilience, hard work, creativity and leadership.  They have let their light shine!  The whole Clayfield College community is incredibly proud of them and so am I.  Best of luck with your exams.  We look forward to celebrating with you this significant milestone in the week following the exam period.

The Co-educational Announcement Sees An Increase In Enrolment Enquiries

Following our announcement last month that Clayfield College would begin the transition to a co-educational school in 2023 and offer families the best of coeducation and single-sex education using the distinctive Parallel Learning model, I am pleased to share with you some news from our Enrolments Department.

Since the announcement, we have seen an increase of 268% in registrations for our Principal-led and Head of Primary-led tours.

Last Friday, we held a Head of Primary-led tour where prospective students and families got to explore the campus and experience what an "ordinary day" at Clayfield College looks like. Over the weekend, we received many enrolment applications for entry between 2022 to 2031. After every tour, we receive enrolment applications, but last week's tour saw a 650% increase in applications, with 75% of them being for boys; this is fantastic news.

I want to say a big thank you to our Enrolments Department for all of the hard work that they have been putting in over the last few months to ensure that all the enquiries are answered and applications processed as quickly as possible as well as showcasing our outstanding College to prospective students and their families.

We have three more tours scheduled for this year.

Principal-led Tour

  • Wednesday 27 October at 9:00 am
  • Wednesday 10 November at 9:00 am

Head of Primary-led Tour

  • Wednesday 10 November at 11:00 am

If you have any family or friends that would be interested in sending their child/ren to the College, please let them know about our tours. They can book to attend one of our tours via our website www.clayfield.qld.edu.au/enrolments/book-a-tour, or they can contact our Enrolments team on Ph: 07 3262 0220.

World Teachers' Day

For teachers, every day is about delivering our personal best. World Teachers' Day was inaugurated on 5 October 1994 by the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

World Teachers' Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and thank Clayfield College teachers for their important role in our community and for the positive impact they have on your child's life.

We will celebrate World Teachers' Day on Thursday 28 October, with a morning tea provided by the P&F Association. I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge all of the hard work, dedication and support that all of the teachers at Clayfield College gives to our students. I thank you for everything that you do - happy World Teachers' Day.

Speech Night

Speech Night will be held Tuesday 16 November at QPAC Concert Hall for Years 7 to 12 and some Year 6 students and their families. Tomorrow all parents/caregivers will receive an email with the booking details.

Speech Night is a wonderful opportunity for the College community to come together to celebrate all of the outstanding achievements for 2021. I look forward to seeing you all there.
