Junior School Update

Nicholas Barca and Ryan McGlade

Junior School Engagement Leaders

On behalf of the Junior School team, we would like to congratulate all our students on their resilience during Term 3. Our Junior School vision is ‘to support the learning and social-emotional development of our students, so that they can thrive’ and whilst there have been many challenges over this term, we are very proud of the genuine effort students have made to their learning and wellbeing.  As a team we have connected online with students and families, run virtual assemblies, programs and competitions.

We are looking forward to offering a celebration for our Junior School students towards the end of Term 4, where everyone can participate and have some fun.

May the term break be a restful and rejuvenating period – please reach out if you need any support.

This term we welcomed Kiran Tibb who has taken over from Fiona as our Admin Support. Kiran comes to us from Balwyn Primary School where she has worked in Learning Support for many years. Kiran has hit the ground running by completing thorough student attendance checks for the Junior team, taking minutes for SSGs and preparing for Year 7 transition 2022. Welcome to the team Kiran!

Artwork and pictures from our Wellness Challenge

On Wednesday 25th August, Junior School students participated in Wellness Wednesday. The afternoon encouraged students to get off their screen, promote positive interactions or physical activity, and focus on self-care. We received so many submissions with winners from Year 7, 8 and 9 receiving $50 gift vouchers.

Some submissions are below:

A big thank you to our Coordinators

Mr Acebron, Ms Smith and Mr Rees have been working tirelessly during Term 3 to support their Year Levels. The team have been running lunch time student meetings, engaging the Year Level on Teams with encouragement and have been connecting with students and families daily. A huge thank you for your hard work, commitment, and generosity over Term 3. We are so lucky!
