Science

David Innes

It has been a particularly tough time for Science students this term. Without the use of a laboratory, trying to complete practical tasks has been a challenge. However, the brilliant brainboxes in the faculty have been able to make Science as engaging as possible for students both at school and stuck at home.

  • Year 7s have been completing Predict, Observe, Explain experiments at home and creating a podcast on Food Webs.
  • Year 8s have been investigating the Solar System.
  • Year 9s have been constructing quadrats and using them to observe habitats.
  • Year 10s have been creating precipitates in the lab (whilst at school), balancing Chemical equations, and preparing for their first ever Science exam.

Both students and teachers are very much looking forward to returning to school to revisit our core laboratory skills once again.
