Year 7 Camp

The Island

The Year 7 camp set out for “The Island” in Cowes on Monday the 6th of March. It was a pleasure to return to this very well run camp, and its enthusiastic staff.

The weather was perfect for the three days we were on Phillip Island and it was not too hot to enjoy all the activities both on the camp site and for our visits to Amaze’N’Things, Ten Pin Bowling and the Wildlife Park.

The camp is organised to encourage the students to meet and make friends and for the students to get to know their teachers.  I’m sure these aims were achieved.

I have asked some of the students to choose their favourite thing about camp;

Ni liked the giant swing and meeting wombats,

Zoe liked the food and spending time with friends,

Oscar liked the game on the beach,

Viney liked the pool,

Keely liked the game on the beach and the giant swing,

Milly liked going to the bowling alley and having an intense game of pool. She liked the beach as well,

Tahlia liked going to the beach and digging holes in the sand and then diving into the holes,

Aydin liked visit to Amaze’N’Things and the wildlife park.

Thanks to all the staff who worked so hard to organise this event and to the students who came along.
