Principals Report

March 2018

Despite Term 1 being a shorter term than usual, the college still managed to cover a number of activities including the Senior School Year Information Night.  It was a significant priority to complement the college’s work with Senior School families to discuss the learning programs and expectations for the year.  The VCE and VCAL families were given valuable information on how to get the best out of their child, by setting good study habits and high expectations.

Our Year 7 Camp held at the Summit in Trafalgar East. We had well over 100 students attend and they all returned home very tired from all the activities that occurred. The staff reported that it was a very successful camp that achieved its goals of building positive relationships between students, their team coordinators and teachers. The Year 7 students returned very positive from the experience and we anticipate that this will help build further learning confidence and school connectedness. The organisation and communication to all sections of the college community, was excellent. I congratulate Mr Cullum, Junior Team Coordinators and staff for attending the camp and for ensuring that it was successful for all students.

Parent Teacher Interviews will be conducted on Thursday 19th April.  I encourage all parents to make a time to meet with your child's teachers.  Bookings can be made through Compass with your log in details.

I would like to wish our students and families a happy and safe Easter.
