The way we think & feel

Year 11 Psychology
VCE Psychology enables students to explore how people think, feel and behave through a biopsychosocial approach. As a scientific model, this approach considers biological, psychological and social factors and their complex interactions in the understanding of psychological phenomena.
While studying psychology, students explore the connection between the brain and behaviour; individual differences and group dynamics; sensory perception and awareness; memory and learning; and mental health.
Our Year 11 students are learning about the role and function of the brain and nervous system. One way of consolidating their understanding recently required students to participate in a competition to see which team could clearly identify all of the divisions and functions of the Human Nervous System. Students were actively engaged and produced some great annotated human nervous system posters.
