Invitation from the Community Chaplain - Community Meal

I would like to invite you and your family to dinner. Meal times offer a great opportunity to sit down, slow down and get to know each other. And I would like to put a bit of a twist on this.

My plan is simple – you bring the food and we will provide the place. Bring to the school one of your favourite home cooked foods. And bring something that expresses your culture. Along with the food, bring some stories to tell about yourself.

We will meet at the Food Studies Centre and put the food we have prepared on a central table. There will be tables and chairs set up where we can join in with other families from the school to eat and talk. Share the food and share your stories. Do not forget – this is a family event – so bring your kids. Share their stories too. Introduce yourselves to each other. At the end of the evening you will know each other’s names and a bit about the stories of your lives. And don’t forget the food. I’m sure that will be amazing too!

But note: Please be mindful that others may have allergies to foods such as seafood or nuts. A label with your food listing the ingredients will be useful for others.

So, please come. The school will also provide the plates, cutlery and drinks.

The details are:

Come and Try Equestrian Vaulting

Equestrian Vaulting is the combination of skills involved with Gymnastics, Dance and Acrobatics whilst being performed on a horse – yes, a REAL MOVING horse! Equestrian Vaulting highlights the importance of team work and promotes positive sportsmanship skills that combine a range of abilities such as strength, flexibility, balance and harmony with the horse in a fun environment – the best part you do not even need to own your own horse to participate!

The sessions run for 1 hour at a cost of $20.00 on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 24 September - 10.00am to 11.00am
  • Saturday 28 September - 9.00am to 10.00am and 1.00pm to 2.00pm
  • Sunday 29 September - 11.00am to 12.00pm
