Principal's Message

                                                       Mrs Josie Crisara

Fathers Day

The Parents and Friends Association ran another successful Fathers Day breakfast and stall to acknowledge the wonderful contribution fathers, grandfathers and father figures make in the life of children. Thank you to all the families who supported this initiative.

Year 11 Presentation Ball

Another successful event was held last Saturday night, where the Year 11 students and families and friends were able to enjoy an evening of dancing and community. We should never underestimate the value of community connections as this is a protective factor for young people navigating adolescence.

Indonesian Exchange Students

During August we had two Indonesian students on a study exchange from the Sekolah Menengah Atas Kristen Satya Wacana school in Salatiga. The students had the opportunity to experience Australian culture and practise their English skills whilst providing cultural and language lessons for our own students.

Leading Learning that Matters

Over the next few weeks I will be participating in a ‘Leading Learning that Matters’ program organised by Independent Schools Victoria.  This professional development opportunity will provide an opportunity to reflect and initiate some work progressing one of the College’s strategic plan initiatives looking at a whole school pedagogical approach.  Mr Forward, the Deputy Principal will be overseeing College operations in my absence.
