In the Classrooms

Inquiry

This week in the classroom the children have started a personal Inquiry project - topic of their own choice. They have been studying an Informative narrative in writing ‘ Koala’  and are starting to write their own narrative based on their Inquiry question.

Maths

In Maths the children have been completing pre testing for Time and Money. They are also starting an ‘Earn and Learn’ program where they simulate using and working with money in the real world. 

Literacy

The children have continued to work in their literacy circles in small groups during reading as well as reading their personal books. Please keep reading and discussing about the book with your children at night. Reading at fluency level ( slightly easy books) is good to help children with their expression, fluency, understanding, and for the younger children word recognition. So please continue to read with your children.
