Term 4 Week 1

Welcome back to Term 4! The weather has warmed up but unfortunately no rain for the farmers! This term we welcome Rebekka Sinclair to Moyhu Primary School . Rebekka has settled in well and is getting to know all the children and their learning styles. In the next newsletter we will do a piece on Rebekka to let you find out a bit more about her and her teaching experience.

Hats

As we are now into October, children are required to have a bucket or broad brim hat to wear at school. It has been great to see the number of children who remembered and brought their hat for day 1 of the term. Don't forget we have some new hats here in the office if you need to purchase a new one. They are $14.00 each.

Zone Sports

The Zone Athletic  Sports are this Friday the 11th October. There are 8 children from Moyhu representing the cluster in individual events and relays. We wish them all the best for the day and know that they will represent the school well. We will publish results in the next newsletter.

Walk to School for October

For the next four weeks the children at Moyhu will be involved in the  ‘Walk to School’ program. This program is designed to encourage all the children to be more active and live an active lifestyle. Today the Mel from the YMCA came to school to take an exercise class with the children. The program has also has given all the children a pedometer to encourage the steps walked in a day. This is really working as many children are continuing to walk or run more in breaks to get the numbers up !! Fruit is also being provided to the school for the children during this time.
