Message from Gemma

St Stephen's & St Gabriel's Catholic Primary School's Principal

Dear families and friends,

Thank you to all of our families and children’s support to farwell Clare. It was a big week to celebrate Clare and all the things Clare did for both of our communities.

It is a fortnight of celebrations as a Faith community.

This week we celebrated Mary MacKillop Feast Day which is held every August 8th, in honour of the revered Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop.

She was the first Saint of Australia, and her influence in the country has spread far and wide. She is recognised for her commitment to the poor, helping those who needed it the most in any way she could.

And this coming week we celebrate St Stephen’s Feast Day, St Stephen came from a family of warriors. He experienced many hard times within the country of Hungary. St Stephen worked for the people of Hungary in hope all lived their lives around friendship, love, respect for others and acknowledging the dignity of others. St Stephen introduced Christianity to Hungary as he knew God had a great plan for people to live a life filled with love for others. We will celebrate with a Liturgy, learning around St Stephen and a shared lunch outside.

SOCIALS - please share

We have begun our visits to Kinders/Early Learning Centres  to promote our amazing schools. We are beginning to talk to families who have Prep children in 2024 - I can’t believe it -2024!! We need your help - please share our posts on socials to show others what we offer. Many of our new families didn’t know about our schools therefore we think this might be a great way to share our wonderful community and our happenings.
