Write Around the Murray:

Term Three has begun and the Write Around the Murray Festival is looming - bigger, brighter and greater than ever before!

The most pressing event on the WAM agenda for students and teachers, is the River of Stories student writing competition.

Whether students have been feverishly working on compositions especially for the competition, polishing up pieces they have been working on over time, or breathing new life into an old favourite, now is the time to tidy up those drafts and get those submissions in, before its’ too late!

Don’t miss out on the sense of accomplishment that comes with your work recognised and published online…some great prizes to be won for students and the school.

Entries are quite low so far this year, and of course, the upside of that is, there’s an increased chance of claiming a prize.

Need a dress or a suit for a special occasion, perhaps for our coming Deb Ball? Why not try the local Beechworth Formal Attire Library. 

How the library works is you pay a $50 deposit for an item of your choice and borrow it for a day or a couple of days before the occasion, wear it, have a great time and return the item clean and in good condition. If the dress passes the required cleanliness, etc., you will receive your $50 back. That's why they call it a Library - you borrow and bring the item back.
