Music Update 

Interesting music fact:   Students highly engaged in music have been found to be, on average, over 1 year ahead of their peers not engaged in school music

MID-YEAR MUSIC CONCERT

Congratulations to all students who participated in the filming of the Mid-Year Music Concert! The recording is now available to view via the College website.

Some people were also able to access the live stream of the recordings on the day. This is new technology that we were testing out. We are planning to live stream more of our events in the future. Stay tuned for more information on these.

MARIMBA FUNDRAISING EVENT

This was launched in the Mid-Year Music Concert. The Music Department is planning to raise $5000 to cover the cost of one of these instruments. If you would like to contribute to the Marimba Fundraiser please contact the front office. Families who donate $100 will have one of the Marimba keys named for them.

MELBOURNE RECITAL CENTRE: ACCELERANDO PROGRAM

Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 are invited to apply for a free place in the Accelerando Program for 2023. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to receive instrumental lessons from leading artists, access world-class concerts, work with a professional mentor, participate in music industry workshops and perform in an end of year recital at Melbourne Recital Centre.
