LMR Football

What an amazing day at the LMR Football in Swan Hill students and staff had on Wednesday 27 August!

With over 100 students boarding buses at 7am, 5 teams qualified for this round which is the most teams that we have ever had qualify at this level.  We didn't even have enough College jumpers for the girls!  Thank you to Echuca Junior Football Club for lending us their jumpers.

The Year 8 Boys had 4 games and although they showed great sportsmanship and had some great play, they didn't get the points on the board to make it to the finals. Thanks to Mr Kennedy for coaching!

The Year 7 Boys team, coached by Mr Taylor, also had a great day on the field playing 2 games with the other schools too strong for them on the day. A great achievement for these first year secondary college boys making it this far!

The Intermediate Boys had 3 wins as did two other schools, which meant it came down to percentage at the end of the day!  Mr McNichol and Mr Coates had their coaching skills put to the test, as did the team!

The Junior Girls, coached by Mr Chapman, played 2 games and went down in both. The second match was an extremely tight one.  A great effort girls, who I am sure will be signing up again next year!

Coached on the day by Miss Harding-Davies, the Intermediate Girls had a great day out with two wins and one loss in their 3 matches.

We thank our coaches, VET helpers and students involved on a great day of footy.

Once again, you have all done St Joseph's proud!

What else is happening?

Signups are now open and on SIMON for the Year 7 and Intermediate Basketball with game day on Thursday 1 September.

We are working on planning our school Athletics carnival for Thursday 25 August - watch this space!
