Senior School Subject Selection

Subject selection for students in Years 9, 10 and 11 is progressing well. Both students and parents have received a range of information from the Senior School 2023 Subject Selection Handbook, the Subject Selection website as well as conversations with teachers and our Pathways Coordinator Beth Crossman. Students in Years 9 & 10 should have now submitted their 2023 subject planning sheets to the General Office.

 

Upcoming Due Dates

Wednesday 3 August: 

Web preferences closed for students in Year 11, selecting their 2023 subjects at 3.30pm.

Web preferences open for students in Years 9 and 10, who have submitted their completed subject planning sheet.

 

Friday 5 August: 

Web preferences close at 3pm for all students in Years 9 and 10.

 

Friday 26 & Monday 29 August: 

Year 10 into 11 Subject Confirmation Interviews. Parents and students are to book a 15 minute interview to discuss the student pathway and subjects selected. Information will be provided via Operoo in the coming weeks.

 

Tues 30 August & Thursday 1 September: 

Year 9 into 10 Subject Confirmation Interviews. Parents and students are to book a 15 minute interview to discuss the student pathway and subjects selected. Information will be provided via Operoo in the coming weeks.

 

Middle School Subject Selection

The process for students in Years 7 and 8 to select their subjects for 2023 will commence next week and is an exciting time for all.

 

On Wednesday 10 August, students in Years 7 and 8 will be able to view the 2023 Subject Selection Presentation during their Period 1 class. Here they will also receive a copy of the 2023 Subject Selection Handbook for their Personal Learning Program. They will also receive a copy of their subject planning sheet for students and parents to read and complete.

 

Year 7 & 8 students will be emailed their student access code and password on Thursday 18 August.

 

Web preferences must be submitted by 9am on Monday 22 August.

 

The handbook will explain to students and their parents the subjects on offer at St Joseph’s College.
