Southern Peninsula Division Playoffs - Girls Soccer
Our girls soccer team traveled to Casey Fields to compete in the Southern Peninsula Division playoffs on Monday the 25th of July.
Our Lady of Fatima were matched up with Peninsula School in the Semi-Finals. This game was very tense to watch/coach with both teams having some great chances. The game ended in a 0-0 draw so we were off to a penalty shootout.
With some great goal-keeping from Charlize and some nerves of steel from our penalty takers, we won the penalty shootout 2-0. We were off to the grand final!
Mornington Primary School were our opponents in the grand final. The OLOF girls put up a great fight, but unfortunately lost 6-0.
Great effort girls! The Fatima community is very proud of your efforts!
Thank you to all of the parents who came to support the girls on the day.
A special thanks to Hannah G and Catherine C for helping with the transport of our team.
Team: Ruby, Elizabeth, Isabelle, Leilani, Sienna, Ayla, Amina,Gemma, Heidi, Charlize, Evia, Isla, Lucy and Isabella.
The Southern Peninsula Basketball Association Winter Season is coming to its end! If you are already in a team and would like to continue playing (upcoming Summer Season), please discuss this with your Coach and Team Manager.
If you are thinking about playing, and you are not part of a team yet, please send me an email and I'll forward on your interest to the relevant Coach/Team Manager.
Games are played at Dromana or Rosebud Stadiums on a Saturday morning/early afternoon. Training is held at the school, one night a week straight afterschool.
*** We are looking for players for the U14 Boys***
If you are in year 4,5 or 6 and are interested in playing basketball on a Saturday for the Our Lady of Fatima Basketball Club, email me at dkoole@fatimarosebud.catholic.edu.au
The Our Lady of Fatima School Sports will be held on Friday the 19th of August. These sports involve every student in the school. The morning session has years Prep - 3 participating and competing in various tabloid sports and modified athletics in the OLOF school grounds. The years 4-6 students compete in various games and athletics behind the school at Olympic Park Reserve.
In the afternoon, the school assembles at the running track (Olympic Park Reserve) to spectate and participate in the 80m sprints.
Parents are welcome to attend and cheer on the students.
I will need parental assistance in running the events on the day. If you have a current WWCC and would like to help out, please send me an email.
