CHOIR & SPECIALIST MUSIC

CHOIR - EISTEDDFOD

On Friday June 17, the St Joseph’s College Choir boarded the bus to travel to the Mildura Art Centre for the annual Mildura Eisteddfod. The excited group were keen to get on stage and were happy to sing at full volume for the entire trip.

The SJC Choir was the last of three groups to sing in the Senior Choral section, led by Ms Catherine Hall. They had their work cut out for them!

The group sang beautifully and confidently, achieving second place for their efforts. It was so lovely to see them on stage competing and enjoying what they love to do.

Congratulations to all involved for this outstanding achievement.

SPECIALIST MUSIC

On Wednesday June 22, 23, Specialist Music students from Years 7 and 8 gathered at the Enright Campus to make some music.

Students participated in musical activities, workshops, and sectional and group rehearsals. With a range of instruments and experiences, the day aimed to develop skills through activities that focused on developing theoretical knowledge, aural/listening skills and performance skills whilst having some fun!

Mr Jason Rodi and I were extremely impressed with the groups enthusiasm and ability to learn various songs within such a short timeframe. Congratulations to all students involved for their commitment and hard work. It was a fantastic day.
