District Athletics carnival

On Friday 5 August 40 students attended the District Athletics Carnival. We all had a great day, trying our hardest to beat our personal bests. All students demonstrated determination and skill as they competed for a winning position on the podium.  Although it was a very windy day and one of our students had to dodge the flying tent... all students demonstrated their best Windang manners and excellent sportsmanship cheering on their fellow teammates. I would like to share a special congratulations to Immy W and Fleur B for progressing to the next level - the Regional Athletics Carnival in Canberra.

Best You Can Be Visit - Illawarra Dragons

On Tuesday 9 August the Illawarra Dragons visited wonderful Windang for their 'Best You Can Be' visit. We all had great fun practicing our push ups and learning different ball skills with some of the members of the Illawarra Dragons community. Thank you for visiting our fantastic school.

Girls and Boys NSWPSSA Football match vs Hayes Park Public School

On Wednesday 10 August 33 students travelled to the Sir Ian McLennan Oval to compete in 2 games against Hayes Park Public School. Unfortunately we were not successful in making it through to the next round with a score of 5:0 to Hayes Park Public School for the boys and a score of 3:0 to Hayes Park Public School for the girls. All members worked together as a team as well as demonstrating extraordinary teamwork and dedication to the sport - ALL should be proud of themselves. I was especially very impressed with how each team member encouraged their teammates from the sidelines while they were playing the game on the field. Excellent sportsmanship, Windang!
