Principal's Notes

Dear Parents and Families,

Another week down and this term is just flying! We continue daily to battle against the three C's - coughs, colds and Covid.

Thank you to all the families' who notify the school when their child is absent. We have begun using a new system, where families will receive a text reminder from the school if they have not contacted the school already to advise us.  Please contact the office if your phone numbers details change too.

On Tuesday, I visited the Kinder as part of the school transition program for some of our Foundation 2023 students. It was lovely to see the kinder students at play and talk to them. I saw lots of sand play, digging for worms in the veggie garden, climbing tricks on the bars, bike riding and reading stories. Also, the new storage sheds and bikes look terrific.

Ambulance Victoria visit

Jim and Chris from Ambulance Victoria visited the school on Wednesday and really engaged with the students. They showed the students some basic first aid and talked about what to do in case of an emergency. I was very impressed with the students responses about what do in emergency situations. Please check your membership as we are a very fortunate to live in a country with accessible and affordable health care.

"Ambulance Victoria responds to over 800,000 calls for medical help from Victorians every year. That is over 2,200 calls a day. "

Hot Dog Treat Day

YUM! YUM! On Wednesday, all the students and teachers enjoyed a yummy hot dog (or two) and juice box as a special winter treat. This was kindly supplied by our wonderful Parents Club.  A very big thank you to our Parents Club for their generosity and to Merryn for cooking the hotdogs.

I would like to wish all the players and support staff all the very best for this weekends netball and football finals. Especially to our very own Miss Thompson and U13's players.  GO BLOODS!

Have a lovely weekend,

Lisa Ferrier
