We look forward to having the opportunity to meet new parents of our Year 7 cohort.
Celebrating Mums and Grandmothers - SAVE THE DATE
The Parent Committee would like to invite all mothers and grandmothers to a light breakfast on Friday May 17 at 7.30am with their children. Further details will be provided next term.
Medication
Parents and students are reminded that the College is unable to give out any medication (eg. Panadol, Nurofen, antihistamine etc) unless it is an emergency. It is recommended that if students need non-prescription medication for headaches and allergies, that they keep a small quantity in their lockers.
Students Learning Early
The following process must be followed for a student to leave the College grounds during the day:
- Bring a signed note from a parent explaining the reason for the early leave.
- The note must be handed to the Homeroom teacher or Student Services for recording into SEQTA. An Early Leave Slip (pink) is to be filled out for the Homeroom teacher to sign.
- The Early Leave Slip (pink) is to be handed to Student Services at the time of departure to be signed.
If a student is feeling ill during the day, they need to report to Student Services where they can make contact with their parents using the College phone. It is not appropriate for students to use their mobile phones or laptops to make contact with parents directly requesting to be picked up. We have limited resources and will therefore be unable to visit classrooms to inform students when their parents arrive. Full co-operation and understanding are requested from parents and students to ensure the safety of all our students and to limit interruptions to classes. Consequences may need to be used for students who do not comply with this procedure.
Interim Reports
Interim Reports will be uploaded onto SEQTA at the end of the term. Parents and guardians are asked to ensure that they have logged onto SEQTA and also provided the most up to date email details. Parent-Student-Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday May 7 from 12pm – 7pm. It will be a Home Study Day.
Term 2
TERM 2 commences on Tuesday April 30. Students need to return in Winter Uniforms. Please ensure that these are organised as soon as possible. Note the Uniform Shop opening times.
