Final Preparation for the 2019 Season

The SNESA Football Club concluded its preseason with two scratch matches against Manning and Piara Waters. It was a great hit out by the boys with some solid first runs for 10 of the club's 16 new recruits!

Our SNESA members also enjoyed our 2019 season launch on March 23 with a great night out had by all. This Sunday, March 31, the SNESA boys and committee members will be at Bunnings Cannington cooking sausages and selling drinks as part of their fundraising! Feel free to pop down and say hello!

Down at the club rooms on Thursday April 4, team selections will be at 7.30pm for the 2019 SNESA first League side with a jumper presentation. Presented by founders of the SNESA club back in 1978 will be Mark George and the Devine brothers; Mick and Brian. They will also be joined by past Captain and Coach Dan Volaric, past Captain Brad Viney and past President Joe Marshall. 

The following weekend kicks off the 2019 season with away games on April 6 at Ferndale Park; with our first home game of the year coming up on Saturday April 13 at Soklich & Co. Oval (Queens Park Reserve). Stay tuned for all the details!

For anyone looking to earn a bit of cash on the weekend and be involved at the club, SNESA Football Club is always seeking assistance for the following paid positions: 

- Boundary Umpires 

- Goal Umpires

Introducing our 2019 League Co-Captains

Mark “Ace” Colace and Caius “C.K” Kelly - both graduates from SNC in 2009. In 2011 they were both part of the SNESA colts premiership flag. After both taking the skipper mantle the last two seasons, it’s become impossible to split the two and the decision was made to make them joint League captains for the 2019 season. 

Both play in the midfield on game day, and it’s encouraged for anyone wanting to see two of the hardest, most skilled working midfielders in amateur football to come and watch them in action at 1.20pm on April 13.
