Think Again High School Cup

On Monday March 17, 18 Year 12 students participated in Volleyball Western Australia’s 'Think Again High School Cup' which is an outdoor beach volleyball tournament against other schools played at City Beach.

The 18 students were Chandrika Bhujun, Latitia Bondoc, Sarina Dhakal, Sharmane Enock, John Fuentes, Joshua Goadby-Cox, Jaco Jansen van Rensberg, Kaitlin Johnson, Vivian Johnson, Johna Jose, Kritsana Palakawong Na Ayudhya, Virgina Pambuka, Millenium Paneru, Aldric Ratnasekera, Ben Rowlands, Dawn Saji, Declan Sinclair and Vincent Zaldivar.

The students had been training once a week since Week 2 in the ORC in preparation for the competition and were more than excited to test their newfound skills against other schools.

The two boys teams finished equal 5th (four schools were tied 5th for last place) out of 8 teams and unfortunately ended the day with zero wins to their name.

The women’s pool consisted of 12 teams and the ladies finished 9th with two wins for the day. Each team played five games throughout the day and learned a lot by playing some very skilful teams. The next competition is in August so stay tuned for updates about our Senior Volleyball team.
