ARE YOU COMING TO EUROPE?

January 2019 – Arts & Cultural Tour

This is a fantastic and unique opportunity for students of (or simply interested in) the Arts.  We will be taking a group of McClelland students over to Europe for three weeks in January of 2019.

We are happy to take up to 30 students – and, at this stage, there still spots available.

This tour will offer unique workshops and backstage passes, question and answer sessions with industry professionals, as well as the opportunities to attend many different musicals, theatre, galleries, museums, concerts and more. Students who study Art, Drama, Dance, Theatre and/or Music will be thrilled by this tour but it is open to everyone who is interested. Many fabulous sightseeing and cultural opportunities are included; for example: The ruins of Ancient Rome, The Vatican, the canals of Venice, the Tower of London, up to five theatre experiences in the UK, and the Harry Potter Studio Tour to name just a few of the many, many other options.

This tour is open to any student currently studying at McClelland in years 7-12. Destinations will definitely include London and surrounding UK locations (a day trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of Shakespeare, and to the once-Roman city of Bath). We are also visiting the fabulous historically and culturally rich cities of Rome and Venice.

The tour will be facilitated and accompanied by Emma Sproule, Andrew Long and Nicole Ferra and is organized through Travelbound, an education travel specialist. Our successful 2017 Europe Tour was booked through this company, and we have confidence in their ability to provide a fantastic experience and offer excellent support whilst we are travelling.

If you are keen to go or simply keen to receive more information, then we would love to hear from you as soon as possible please. Parents and students are encouraged to contact us at the college. Parents can reach us via phone or email and students can come to Ms. Sproule’s office, located in the PAC (go through the glass doors between the PE change-rooms and her office is on the left). We can discuss any questions you may have as well as address payment requirements. The cost will drop depending on the number of students who go and the group also fundraises extensively to support the students with their spending money savings.

Again, this tour is not limited to students of the Arts, it simply has an arts focus but with many other fabulous opportunities and experiences thrown in!

Look forward to hearing from you!
