VCAL STUDENTS IN THE COMMUNITY

Frankston Heights PS

Four students went out to FHPS in Week one to brave the elements and create two red gum garden beds before National Tree Day. This was phase two of this project and went down without a hitch. Keithy Morris even managed to show the Year 12 students what work ethic really was! If you see the students around, please give them a pat on the back.

Keithy

On the subject of Keithy, he has been around to several departments this week to fix doors for them. He planned the top of the stage door in the PAC, fixed the door runners in the CONNECT room and then fixed a door in G2. He has decided to run his own handyman business during MAP time. I’m currently raising some funds to buy him a tool belt to use, but if anybody has broken cupboard doors, chairs, tables etc. and they can be easy fixed, please email me and I’ll get Keith the Handyman on the job.

KHPS - National Tree Day

The VCAL Year 12 students; Jasmine, Jordan, Scotland and Aleks worked together on Friday 28th of July planting trees at Karingal Heights Primary School for National Tree Day in Schools. This was a great way to help the community while demonstrating grit, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Well done team!
