Happy Easter

A very Happy Easter to all families. I hope that the Easter celebrations will be a time to reflect on the significance of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This most important feast in the Church year provides us with an opportunity to remember the sacrifices that were made so that we may have eternal life.

Yesterday all of the students celebrated Holy Week which helped them to think of the true meaning of Easter. Thankyou to Mrs Ford and Mrs Burns for their coordination.

Staffing

Mrs Amy Burns will be going on Maternity Leave for the remainder of the year.  We wish Amy and her husband AJ all the very best for the arrival of their new baby boy.  Mr Carlo Martello has been appointed Deputy Principal and will work with Mrs Danielle Gerecke.  Mr Martello will continue to teach Italian lessons for Year Prep-Year 6 on a fortnightly basis and also teach in Prep E and 2F (alternating weeks) for half a day on Fridays.  We warmly welcome Miss Georgina Hession who has been appointed as Digital Technology teacher.  She will teach Prep-Year 5 on Tuesday and Thursday.  Miss Hession has been teaching as a Casual Relief Teacher at Galilee from last year. Mr Joss Coaley will continue to teach Digital Technology to Year 6.

Ride2School

There was a sea of colour in Learning Street on Tuesday 27th March with around 100 bikes/ scooters decorated and ridden to school. Thank you to all who could participate in the day and congratulations on making your bikes and scooters look spectacular.

Timetable Change

Prep E and Year 3W will need to wear their Sport Uniform on Monday April 16 (first day of Term 2).

Winter Uniform

For the first two weeks of Term Two, students can wear either the Summer or Winter Uniform.

From April 30 (Week 3) the Winter Uniform is to be worn.

The Windbreaker can be worn over the Sport Uniform OR over the jumper, for added warmth as part of the Winter uniform and not directly over the Summer or Winter polo shirt.

The correct wearing of the Windbreaker and other parts of the uniform are clearly articulated in our polices that can be accessed on our school website or below.

Please see below our Uniform Policy:

Please send in a note to your child's teacher if your child is not able to be in correct uniform.

PSW do not have Size 4 or 6 woolen jumpers in stock. They believe they will have them in the second week of April. Contact details are on Dates Page of this bulletin.
