Year 3/4 Hoop Time

On Thursday 31st of May, selected students from the Year 3-4 Communities participated in the Hooptime event at Eagle Stadium in Werribee. Hooptime is a Basketball event for students that play Basketball at a representative level, children that might play for a local team or even those who just want to give Basketball a go.

Truganina South PS had 5 teams representing our school at the event. Two Future Stars teams and 3 Rookies teams.

Throughout the day, all teams played 4 or 5 games against other schools in the Tarneit and Truganina Districts. Even though some teams didn’t win too many games, they all played really well, demonstrated good sportsmanship and most of all had lots of fun!

Congratulations to the Future Stars 1 team who made it through to the Future Stars Semi-Final! They were unfortunately beaten by the St John’s the Apostle who were unbeaten throughout the day. Congratulations also to the Rookies 1 team who went through the day undefeated.

A massive THANK YOU to the parents who took time off work to come down and coach some of the teams and also to the parents who came along and gave their support. The staff and your children appreciate it. Well done TSPS!
