Student wellbeing

Pauline Cutajar, Director of Student Wellbeing and Development

It has been wonderful to welcome our students back to Shelford for the beginning of Term 2. Students across the school seem to have benefitted from a much-needed break and have returned full of energy and excitement for the myriad of activities, events and programs on offer this Term.

Uniform

The beginning of the third week of Term 2 is traditionally the changeover date from summer to winter uniform. We are aware, however, that some families have experienced a delay in the delivery of various winter uniform items and therefore the changeover date has been extended to Monday 10 May, the beginning of Week 4. By Monday 10 May, all students should be in the full winter uniform.

Supervision

The safety and welfare of our students is paramount at Shelford. This is particularly important outside of scheduled school hours. Please be aware that the official supervision of students begins at 8am on scheduled school days. Please ensure that your daughter(s) is not on school grounds prior to this time, unless she has a scheduled school event, such as training or rehearsals, which will be supervised by the relevant staff members. Thank you in advance for your support.

The Parents website resource

The Parents website is an initiative of Independent Schools Victoria and provides a wonderful selection of news, features and resources for parents on raising and educating children. Each fortnight I will include a couple of links to interesting articles, but I encourage you to also browse the website for an extensive range of topics and resources.
