Major projects update

The Shelford Innovation Learning Centre (SILC)

The Shelford Innovation and Learning Centre has been open since the start of Term 1, and repurposes the former ELC. This facility provides improved study and learning spaces for Year 12 students, and for our art students.

Outdoor area

Between the SILC building and Food Studies

This is a redesigned outdoor space with greenery and stylish seating, providing a space for students to have positive conversations with their peers and teachers, and to relax, reflect and study. The ground floor walkway also provides easy access between this area and the rest of the school.

Food Studies spaces

Our new and improved Food Studies spaces opened at the start of Term 2. This large project has completely transformed the previous offices, Food Studies and former Art classrooms to an outstanding contemporary practical Food Studies teaching facility combined with a Food Studies theory classroom that can also be utilised for others subjects and classes as required.

Our thanks to the building company, the Shelford property team and teaching teams who worked very hard to plan, build and open these all so quickly for students in 2021. Feedback has been very positive.

We look forward to welcoming parents to the opening on Tuesday 25 May.
