Thank You For Your Support During Remote Learning

The Scotsburn Campus Staff would like to again express our appreciation to our students, parents, guardians and families for your incredible patience and flexibility during the second round of remote learning. We understand the enormous responsibility and challenges that Remote Learning placed on families as you had to create time, space, routine and support for learning at home. We are so thankful to our families and students for all the amazing support that has been shown to the staff. The generosity, kindness, patience and resilience that you have demonstrated has been amazing. Fingers crossed that we can all complete the remainder of the school year at school.

Scotsburn Campus Recipe Book

We hope you found some time over the break to enjoy the recipe book that was created as a gift for families from Remote Learning. May the recipes bring you happiness as you share them with your family and friends and rejoice in the small things that brought us happiness during the year 2020.

First Day Back

It has been so nice to see our students back at school today. They have all quickly got back into the swing of things and settled into the routines nicely. We are sure that they are just as excited to see their school friends too.

Helpful Hints

To assist with the transition back to school, we encourage all families to consider the following:

  • Adjusting your child/children back into a good sleep routine.
  • Adjusting your child/children back into a good morning routine to ensure they can get to school on time.
  • Discussing with your child/children the importance of tolerance and fairness for when they get back into break time situations with their friends.
  • Discussing with your child/children the procedure for drop offs so that they are prepared for walking into school on their own.
  • Reminding your child/children of the importance of washing and sanitising their hands.

Social Distancing of Adults

Visitors to the school grounds will again be limited to those delivering or supporting essential school services and operations.  As such, parents are only to go beyond the school gate if absolutely necessary.  No parents should enter classrooms until further notice.  Please email or phone if there is something you need assistance with. Parents must also be conscious of not congregating outside the school grounds at the beginning and end of each school day.

100 Days of School

Scotsburn Art

Have a look at some wonderful work from our very creative and talented students. So impressed to see the wonderful work that the students submitted. Well done and thank you to all students and their families for your creative efforts. You should all be really proud of yourselves!

2021 Organisation

Although we have just entered term 4 of 2020, we also have an eye on 2021. If you are planning on not sending your child back to the Scotsburn Campus in 2021, please contact Shaun ASAP.

Caring for our Animals

We would like to say a huge thank you to Logan’s family for taking such great care of our animals. Pip has had a great time and the chooks have been well cared for too. Thanks so much.

School Hats

A reminder that in Term 4, hats are compulsory for all students.

Buildings & Grounds Jobs

We have had a couple of jobs completed whilst away on Remote learning. The Landcare shed has had a big clean and paint, we have some new vegetable boxes in the vegetable garden almost ready for planting out, some large logs have been positioned for the kids to play on and a new garden bed is being prepared to act as a screen in front of the water tanks. Quite a bit of work has also been done to upgrade our water flow and sewerage. As a result, some areas of our playground will be out of bounds until the work is complete.

Tree Removal

We have also had a couple of trees removed from behind the Art Room as part of our fire safety expectations. You’ll notice a big difference when you next see it.

Friday Rotations

Our first rotation for Term 4 will be on the (30th Oct). Our groups will be doing the following:

Term 4 - Lunch Order Roster

A reminder that lunch orders will only be available for Scotsburn students on a Wednesday in Term 4.

A big thanks to the wonderful ladies in the office who have offered to bring them up for the kids.
