Free Parenting course AND free resources to help get ready for school!

Hello wonderful families,

A well-meaning older man stopped me to chat in the supermarket once, to admire my very small girls in the shopping cart.  After chatting with him about his grandkids and his own children, he shared some advice with me and this has stuck with me for the past 19 years of my journey:

"...always remember, its important that you grow up WITH your children.'

After thanking him and walking away from him to ponder this gem, I realised after some time that it made all the sense in the world.   As my children grow, so do their needs and requirements from me.   In allowing myself space and permission to take time to hear to them, see them and understand who they are and who they are becoming, I am better able to navigate my next move and what they might need.   That's no to say I don't seek advice when I need it, but at least I can know a little better what does and doesn't help us all along the way.

My children are the reason I get up everyday, and the reason I loose sleep.  They are the kindest, most thoughtful kids I could have ever hoped for, and I feel so blessed to have them.   Has it all been smooth sailing...no way!   And there aren't many days when I don't question my parenting and wonder if I could have done something differently.   But I wouldn't change this parenting journey for anything in this world. I know I need to back myself occasionally.   I look at them and know I must be doing something right.

We all know our own children better than anyone, and we all do our best to love them and guide them in the best ways that we know how.   Back yourself...

If a little inspiration could help right now, I have attached a link below for a parenting conference. Its available between the 22-29 September online and is free to join. The topics include:

  • mindfulness
  • the self-driven child
  • behaviour management
  • positive discipline
  • trauma and kids
  • kids activities and games
  • playful parenting...the list goes on...

Have a well earned holiday break everyone! You have earned it!

Warm regards,

Kathryn.
