Focus on Visual Arts
Even though we have not been together in the Art Studio this term, I feel we have been connected through the art you have been sharing with me!
With anticipation I open each grade’s Google Classroom.
I often gasp, smile, and am amazed when I see the artworks on the screen! I am impressed with the effort, creativity, inventive ways and thought you have applied to your work.
The skill, the originality and the willingness to try different ideas is inspiring.
This term, our art activities have been focussed on whole school style projects, where families can become involved if they want to!
We have been:
- Using the Leaf as our motivation – tracing, painting, and decorating to fill a tree display.
- Gathering natural materials to create mandalas.
- Collecting objects to make more mandalas.
- Appreciating Optical Illusions.
- Experimenting with Alphabet Optical Illusions.
- Reflecting on ART4ALL and T-shirt designs.
