Free VCE Lectures with ATAR Notes and RMIT

Across April 6-7 and 13-14, we will be running 40 free lectures in conjunction with RMIT University. These are completely free, and students are able to attend as many lectures as they like.

 

We will keep you up-to-date with the lectures and how they are progressing. Federation Uni Experience Days – Berwick Campus

Meet the expert lectuers, sample classes and familiarise yourself with FedUni Berwick at their Experience Days.  Click here for more details.  If you would like to register please email your campus Careers Coordinator.  This will not be a College excursion and students would be responsible for their own transport to and from the event.

Girl Power in STEM

Inspire your female students about the exciting possibilities of STEM through our Girl Power program, including a three-night camp at the University of Melbourne, work experience and mentoring opportunities.  The female student camp will run from Sunday 7 July until midday Wednesday 10 July 2019. It’s FREE for students.

Stage 1: Year 9 students

Commencing in Year 9, 30 students are selected to participate in the camp during the July term holidays

Stage 2: Year 10 students

In the second stage of the program, Year 10 students will have the opportunity to complete the Faculty of Science work experience program and can choose from a range of disciplines including engineering and IT.

Stage 3: Year 11 & 12 students

The final stage of the program facilitates mentoring opportunities between Year 11 and 12 students, and University of Melbourne engineering and IT students.

Applications open 25 March and close on the 19 April 2019.

While there are no limitations to the number of applications that can be submitted by each school, a maximum of 30 students will be selected to participate in the program in 2019. To participate in the subsequent stages of the program, students must have participated in the Girl Power in STEM camp whilst in year 9.

Experience Clever gives you the chance to not only see our campuses but experience them by taking part in fun and dynamic workshops led by real lecturers. Deakin Uni - Step on Campus

Step on Campus Step on Campus is Deakin’s school holiday program running in the April and September school holidays across all of our four campuses. It’s an opportunity for students and parents to visit Deakin and have a tour of the campus with a current Deakin student who is studying a similar course. There is also the opportunity to tack on an additional residential tour for those students who are interested in on campus accommodation options. Code Like a Girl: 3-Day Junior Coding Camp: Mischifl

AIE (Academy of Interactive Entertainment)

AIE Industry Experience Day

AIE’s Industry Experience Days are a great opportunity for students in Years 10, 11 and 12 to learn about the local and international game development, 3D animation and visual effects industries. Students will get the opportunity to learn about the different pathways to get into the industry, what should be in a portfolio and will be able to get creative in practical workshops using industry-standard 3D animation and game development tools.

The sessions are run by industry professionals who have worked on some blockbuster games and films. Everything is provided for you to participate in the hands-on workshops and you will be using the same software that is used in the industry.
