Co-curricular Ensembles

All ensembles are back into the swing of things again this term. Please let directors know if students are going to be absent from rehearsals as many ensembles are working towards performance items this term.

We are looking forward to a productive term, which for several of our groups, will culminate with the Prep Performing Arts Concert on June 14. The concert will include a wonderful array of music, dance and drama displaying the fantastic talent of all of our Prep students. Ensembles involved include:

  • All stage choirs
  • Percussion Ensemble
  • Koristers
  • Prep Band
  • Prep Strings
  • Six Strings
  • Junior Dance
  • Speech and drama items

Moving from Junior Ensembles

As in previous years, any students that may be eligible to move from a junior to senior prep group will be permitted to do so from Term 3. The opportunity to change groups will be a decision made by the directors of both groups, instrumental teacher and Coordinator of Prep Music.  

Year 1 Violin Class

Our first group of Year 1 violin students have finished their session of lessons with Mrs Moxey. Parents will be emailed in the coming days confirming the next group of students who will be involved with this program. They will begin next week. Information regarding the program will be included in the email.

Year 3 Instrumental Program

This program offers students in Year 3 to learn a band instrument. Tuition on several instruments is offered over Semester 2 giving students the opportunity to learn in small groups and experience playing in a larger band. Students who currently learn a band or other instrument and don’t wish to participate in this program, have the option of joining our percussion program. More detailed information will follow shortly.
