This Week at Twin Rivers

Swimming Carnival

Before we talk about Echuca Twin Rivers 2020 swimming carnival, we would like to thank all supporters, staff, guardians and helpers for being involved in our 2020 swimming carnival.

We left school at 9:00am to hop on the bus and it was quite squishy because we had to fit the 3/4s, 5/6s and staff but we survived. When we arrived, we got dressed into our bathers and split up into our house colours.

Our first stroke was freestyle. Mr. Cole organised the contestants to their starting positions. Then we had a life saver on board with Miss Pearson enjoying a swim!!!

Our next strokes were breaststroke and backstroke. After the boys 25 metre backstroke event we had our lunch. Then we had our last stroke which was butterfly. Surprisingly, a bucket load of people volunteered to compete after our last stroke so we lined up in our house colours ready for the relays.

After the relays finished, we sat back down under the shade thinking excitedly about the awards.

A big congratulations to all age champion winners and especially the winning house Djarring.

After the awards, we got back into our school clothes and hopped on the bus back to school.

And that was our time at the Echuca Twin Rivers 2020 swimming carnival.
