Website Designers at Work!

Term 4 has started off with a bang, especially for our latest Tech-Sperts! Here we have three of our Year 3/4 students who have begun the process of planning and creating their own websites.

They plan to create an interactive tour that is able to be used to share their learning in the Year 3/4 Community. This project will take a few sessions and we are sure there will be some challenges ahead but our experts are keen to show off their skills!

Social Networking - Privacy Updates

Chat and social networking are great ways to stay in touch and find new friends. However, there are some risks meeting people online—especially if you don’t know them in real life.

With the recent updates to Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms, these companies are beginning to head towards better control of privacy filters for users.

Updating these settings is important for everyone. From parents posting photos, to young adults and teenagers sharing details about themselves. It is important that everyone knows where their information is being shared and who is able to access it.

All social networking sites have their own version of ‘default’ privacy and security settings. It is important that you know how the site works and how to change the settings to protect your personal information.

The Games, apps and social networking section of the E-Safety website gives you access to step-by-step instructions to control your settings for each social networking platform.
