Soccer Clinics

For the last three weeks of Term 3, we were lucky enough to have junior coaches from the Western United Soccer Club come to our school and run clinics for the Year 3-6 students.

The Western United Soccer Club is a new team competing in the A-League so this was a very exciting opportunity for our students.

On several occasions the coaches commented on the enthusiasm, engagement and friendliness of the Corpus Christi students.

I was very impressed with the level of skill the students displayed and was extremely proud of the efforts all students put in to develop their soccer skills.

Prep Kite Night!

What a wonderful Family Kite Night the Prep Community had last night! The Preps are learning about how things move and together with their families decorated and made their own kites. It was a perfect night for flying and the kites soared high.

Year 3/4 Nature Walk

On Tuesday 15th October, the Year 3/4 Community went on a nature walk to Cruickshank Park as part of our Inquiry topic. The students walked through the parkland looking at the plants and animals as well as the impact humans have on the environment, both positive and negative.

We were fortunate enough to see a wide range of animal diversity, including frogs, storks and dragonflies! This experience will be used to continue to build the Year 3/4 students understanding of the natural world around them.
