Health: first aid

This term our Year 10 Health students participated in a First Aid unit. After receiving a general introduction by Beth and I over a number of weeks the students enrolled in the Level 2 First Aid course. They completed an online homework task where they were assigned a large number of modules to read and were then expected to gain 100% in each module quiz. 

Upon completion of the online course they then engaged in the practical component where they practised CPR, reacting to bites and stings, giving EpiPen injections and more. Their attention and enthusiasm was amazing. Their instructor, Jeannette, was blown away by the maturity and attentiveness shown throughout the day, as well as the interesting and articulated questions from the floor. Certificates will be in the mail soon.
