Congratulations to our Mock Trial Team!
On Monday 20 May, the Mock Trial team competed in Round 3 of the competition against St Edward's College. St Edward's, as the Prosecution were suing Westfield Pitt Street Mall for $200,000 because their client had slipped and fallen on some spilt coffee in the Mall. It was an enjoyable trial and Henry Kendall High School won both the case and the round against St Edwards by 31 points. Thanks to Tom Whelan and Shireen Khoshnoud Rad, who were our Barristers. Ainslee Fernandes was a formidable Solicitor and our witnesses; Adrian Crnalic and Oliver Worrad scored 10/10 for their perfect recount of evidence. A special mention to Taylah Vidal who did an excellent job as Court Officer. Thank you to Mrs Julia Kostalas for your constant dedication to the Mock Trial Team.

Regional Futsal Competition
Under 14 and Opens Boys Futsal Teams competed in the Regional Championship on Thursday 9 May at Niagara Park Stadium.
Under 14’s Boys Futsal Team
Under 14’s first game was against Berkeley Vale, we were a bit slow to start and conceded a couple of goals in the first half. The second half saw our team match them on the court however, getting a goal proved difficult and the boys couldn’t make up the goal difference.
The second game was against a highly skilled and disciplined St Edwards College which was full of national players. St Edwards scored 5 goals in the first half however our boys again improved in the second half and only conceded a couple of goals. Matthew Blakemore had a particularly outstanding game in defence.
Next we had a close first half against Green Point, however, the second half we dominated the game and went on to win by 4 goals. Unfortunately, we missed the semi-finals by goal difference. Lachlan Gunn was the standout player on the day.
All the Under 14's boys exhibited good sportsmanship and had a great day.

The boys played a close game against Lisarow that ended in a draw. The second game against Wadalba 1 also was a close match that ended in a draw. The Third match we won against Wadalba 3, we managed to get 4 goals to their one in the game.
We played St Philips in the semi-finals and were up 3-1 at half time, however our team had a few issues playing as a team and as a result our opponents ended up winning 4-3.

On Track
On Tuesday Night 14 May, Henry Kendall High School Music students from Years 7 to 12 stepped out on stage in front of a room full of family, friends and staff to show off what they are capable of as performers and musicians.
It was a very successful night with students using this as an opportunity to not only refine the skills and knowledge, but find out how nerve racking it can be performing in front of your parents.
Our wonderful students demonstrated confidence, enthusiasm and commitment leading up to and on the night and need to be congratulated and mentioned now:
