BooBook Borrowing is now in flight!

As shared last week, it is now possible for all students to look at the catalogue and request any book they can find that is on a Library shelf at either campus! We can see the requests and also reservations (which is the action to take when the book is out but you would like to read it). The first parcels have been collected. If you are interested but don’t know what to do send an email to me msimkin@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au. We can accept returns through the external slot in the Senior School Library even when we are closed. In order to ensure items are sanitised we need to know they have been returned. If you prefer to drop them at reception at Junior School please let us know and we can arrange a system. Our intention is to make this situation as safe as possible for all of us!

Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge:

The new website is bringing some great changes to make things easier but also some challenges as we all acclimatise. Thanks to Evie Templeton for alerting Mrs Milich to not being able to log in. The error was mine – I didn’t realise only the first 10 names on the website’s list was sent to me instead of the whole class. I am currently trying to work out how to deal with this as I can’t remember what I did early last week – too many other new remote learning skills have replaced the knowledge 😊.

Thanks to those students who have logged in and started recording books. I am interested too know if you can log more than 15 titles – there may be a alteration I can make for our avid readers.

Resource Provision:

While a number of our resources are sitting on the shelves, keep in mind that there are many online ways to find information and get help.

We really appreciate the impact that remote learning is having on families. If you are concerned about anything technical (as in from a user perspective) feel free to send me a question.
