LCM Regional Athletics

Well done to all of our students who represented the school at the Loddon Campaspe Mallee Regional Athletics on Monday. The competition was very strong and featured the best athletes from Central and Northern Victoria.

Particular congratulations go to Emma A who won the Girls 10 Years 80m Hurdles event. Emma has now been invited to attend the State Athletics final at the Lakeside Stadium in Melbourne on the 2nd of November. Brilliant effort!

Our Boys 10 Years Relay team of Archie C, Sam P, Hsar Yu Say, Jed K and Charlie performed superbly on the day – finishing 4th.

Other results were:

Hsar Yu Say – 4th in the 10 Years Boys 200m (1st in his heat)

Charlie E –  4th in the 12 Years Boys High Jump

Noah P – 6th in the 12 Years Boys Long Jump

Leki – 6th in the 12 Years Boys Shot Put and Discus

I would like to congratulate all of these students on their achievements, and for the way they conducted themselves throughout the day. I would also like to thank Rick Coburn for his assistance with supervising/organising the students on the day.

Footy Colours Day

Despite the weather, we had a fun Footy Colours Day on Friday. It was fabulous to see so many students getting into the spirit of the day and wearing their team colours proudly. At the time of writing, between online donations and gold coins brought in, we have raised $681 for the Fight Cancer Foundation. Outstanding effort!

The highlight of the day for the students was a football clinic for each class organised by AFL Central Vic staff. I would like to thank them for being so flexible and accommodating given the weather conditions.

Thanks Parents Club – New Equipment for our Sport Shed.

We would like to thank the Parents Club for providing new equipment for our Sports Shed. We have over 40 new items of equipment (over $500 worth), for the students to enjoy for many years to come.
