Student Council Capers

Update on our Fundraising

As you are aware, last term, Vermont Primary School Student Council surveyed our classmates to decide what organisation the school would like to fund-raise money for. The results came in, and the charity that the students of Vermont Primary School had decided to support were Endangered Animals (through Healesville Sanctuary). We then got to work and developed the idea “Vermont Primary School’s Longest Coin Line Challenge. Lay it on the line for Endangered Animals!”.

On Wednesday the 7th September, students came to school wearing their house colours with pride and brought along one gold coin donation to add to their coloured house’s line. Well done to Nurlendi for having the longest line of coins at 4 metres long, consisting of 170 coins. We are very proud to announce that as a school, we raised a whopping $900 for Endangered Animals that went to Healesville Sanctuary!

We were very excited to receive a letter of thanks and a special certificate from Healesville Sanctuary for our amazing donation. Take a look at the certificate!

Well done Vermont Primary School!
