Principal's Report

Dear Families,

Another term in the books! Thanks everyone for their great work throughout Term 3, it was certainly jam packed. We had a number of staff members on Long Service Leave and our students did a great job working with Kerryn Jarvis, Marilyn Bazeley and Fleur Ferguson throughout the term.

We are so fortunate to have a team of teachers who are keen to improve. This term included our staff taking on new learning for teaching and spelling through Little Learners Love Literacy. This tool will be added to the teachers toolkit and will benefit many students. A curriculum day with Andrew Fuller provided teachers with an insight into the challenges students face and how to also look after themselves as we navigate through a challenging time in education.

The students had some fun! We had a Science Day, a Pyjama Day, treated Dad to breakfast, attended ASHEfest and finished it all off with a Whole School Excursion to SAM and Star Bowl! After all that, I am sure the students are looking forward to a rest.

Next term we have many things to look forward to with the return of the school concert, swimming, camps and a number of sport clinics.

On the sporting front, it was great to hear of a number of students (and staff) getting the opportunity to play finals in football, soccer and netball in recent weeks. Win, lose or draw - well done for being able to work well in a team. I know I am looking forward to watching our Murchison-Toolamba Senior Footballers run out on Saturday at Mooroopna!

Have a great holiday,

Craig Thompson
