Staff Profiles

Sharon

Hi to everyone at EVPS

My name is Sharon. Many of you will know me as I have been working at Epping Views for 10 years. In my time here, I have taught Years 2, 3 and 5 as well as Literacy Intervention and Science. This year I have officially been teaching for 40 years! In that time I have taught hundreds of students at one kindergarten and four different schools.

I love teaching and planning activities that will interest my students, especially when we get to be outside or working hands on making playdough, slime or just experimenting.

I live in Reservoir with my dog, Dougal. He just turned 13 (that’s about 91 in dog years) last weekend. For the first 2 years of his life, Dougal would come to school with me every month. My grade would measure his growth, play with him, walk him and even pick up his poo! He is great with kids. In my spare time, I enjoy going to parks for walks with Dougal, and visiting my mum, sister and nieces. On weekends, I catch up with my friends and I try to get to Parkrun – I have achieved 50 Parkruns and 20 volunteering events on Saturdays.

I love travelling!! I have been all around Australia and visited many countries around the world. Recently I took some Long Service Leave and did a road trip to Western Australia with my best friend. We travelled all the way up to Broome and back – over 10 000 km. My highlight was to go swimming with whale sharks! Check out my pictures!

Catherine

Hello! My name is Catherine- I am the School Nurse at Epping Views. I am new to the school this year and have thoroughly enjoyed my transition and welcome to your school community.

My background is in Emergency nursing at our local hospital with extensive experience in paediatric care. Outside of school I am kept busy with 3 young kids- twin boys Bradleigh and Patrick who are 5 and starting Prep in 2023; and a little lady - Shae who is 3 and is at kinder. We all enjoy going on adventures together as a family, exploring the great outdoors, camping and 4WD. Our favourite places to go to are around the Mansfield/Jameson area. We also have an old pup now named Lynx - she is 14 years old!

I like to relax by sleeping in (when I can), reading books and learning new skills and treating myself to lush cups of coffee and brunch!

I look forward to continuing my work with Epping Views and helping all stay well and healthy.
